We are now pleased to announce that we fully support secure streaming via SSL on our streaming service. This is a feature that has been requested by many of our customers over the past few months as Google Chrome moved towards forcing SSL on the web and highlighting insecure pages in the popular web browser.
To set up SSL for your station, you will need to update your connection details to use the new hostname which can be found within your client area or new account information email. This should be used in your broadcasting software, your website radio player, and to access CentovaCast. You can update this easily without any downtime and we are happy to help if you have any questions regarding the process.
The old hostnames will continue to connect to our servers and will not be removed, ensuring there is no downtime for your stream. However, we recommend using the new ones going forward as everything continues to move in the direction of HTTPS.
If you have any questions at all, please do get in touch with our support team who are on hand to provide advice and assistance if needed.
